Holbrooks History Hunters

Holbrooks is rich in history and has undergone many changes over the last forty years. Residents have adapted to changes and come together to support new initiatives. In 1980’s Holbrooks residents, with the support of Vince Hill and the congregation of St Lukes Church, compiled a book about the history of Holbrooks.
Knowing how important this book was to local people, Holbrook Community Care Association wrote to the heritage lottery fund and asked for a grant to work on a book for the community to capture more memories and leave a lasting record of Holbrooks. This is an opportunity to support community cohesion, share memories and celebrate community.
