JOB VACANCY - ADMINISTRATOR 

Holbrooks Community Care Association are excited to announce that we are currently recruiting a
Administrator

For 25 hours per week 
Salary: £18,000 pro rata (based on full time hours) 
12 months fixed term contract in the first instance (with scope to extend dependent on funding) 

Our well established community organisation is looking for a dynamic and proactive person to undertake the role of Administrator.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To be responsible to the Line manager for the administrative functions for Holbrooks Community Care Association (HCCA) and to support the Line manager in the development of the Holbrooks Community Initiatives.
• To support the Line manager in the strategic and operational development, planning, implementation and monitoring of Holbrooks Community Association
• To oversee the supervisory needs of HCCA, delivering and ensuring the implementation, monitoring and review of service plans, within the allocated budget. 
• To ensure that HCCA provides services required by the community effectively, efficiently and economically; working to appropriate quality standards; and that the nature of services and of the centre are such as to encourage high levels of usage of the centre by an inclusive range of identified service users. .
• To be involved and undertake liaison work within the community as agreed with the Line manager, with funding, commissioning, partner and colleague organisations in the community, voluntary, public and private sectors, in Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth and more widely as appropriate
• General administrative duties including but not inclusive of handling mail, emails and phone calls.

An ideal candidate will:
• Have at least 2 years’ experience working in office administration.
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal, including report writing.
• Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft office packages
• Excellent organisational skills to enable plan, coordinate and evaluate events and activities
• Recognise and challenge behaviour and attitudes that discriminate against others
• Commitment to working in a participative, empowering and non-judgemental style with young people.
• Ability to work within a team and contribute effectively to the development of both centres.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and on own initiative.
• Ability to relate to, motivate and lead people. 
• Ability and willingness to work up to a maximum of two evenings per week and occasional weekends.
• Experience of information, advice and guidance work with people.
• Experience of working in a community setting

There are clothes, toys and bric a brac on offer at bargain prices. While you're there, enjoy hot meal and hot drinks at our community cafe! See you there!

On Monday 19th August between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, at Holbrooks Community Centre, John Shelton Drive, CV6 4PE, Energy Action Group are hosting a family Funday where you can get advice on support with fuel costs, energy debt, General Health and Well being. Coventry District Credit Union will be there too to give advise on savings and finances. You will also have the chance to talk to your local Councillor. Lots to do for the whole family, including clowning around with Coventry favourite 'Wolly', there will also be a quiz and a hot meal available at the Community Cafe, (Kids eat FREE!) See you there

The Community Fridge will be opening TUESDAY 25th JUNE at 1:00pm You will need to register to use the fridge, but registration is FREE to all. Just pop in the the centre by the park on Holbrook Lane Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 1:00pm and 3:00pm this week to sign up ready to use the fridge from next week. The Community Fridge is a way to save food from being wasted. Many supermarkets have fresh stock at the end of the day that they cannot use and donate it to organisations like us to hand out for free for those who will use it. We will never know what's going to be in the fridge until we have collected the donations, but from past experience, we will have fruit and vegetables, tinned goods, toiletries and sometimes milk, butter and cheese amongst may other treats. Just pop by between the times above to register.
